NEWS

I'm waiting on my computer and hopefully an upgrade to Dreamweaver. Switching between Dreamweaver and GoLive is like trying to watch two television shows simultaneously.

We're hoping to get the blog integrated soon so our material will be delivered to the site on a more timely basis.

Characters are appearing on their pages. Check it out.

The forums! Still dusting off some of the CSS, but they're running and ready.

Keep an eye out after the holidays for a countdown to the launch of the comic.

Up, up and away!

So here we are in December already and I can't believe the progress we've made on the site. Sure, there's still a lot that's not working, but if you're a new visitor there's a lot to check out: the forums are working, you can leave us feedback on our "about us" page, we've got a tutorial online and character profiles for the comic that's on its way. If you really must have some comic to sate your appetite, click on the Heroes Welcome ad to the right and enjoy a few comic strips.

The real comic is currently being penciled. We're wanting to give you the first few pages all at once before we go to a once-a-week schedule and it takes a little while to design, pencil, ink, color and letter. We're still on track for having pages up in January, but don't know the exact date. All the holiday festivities don't help dispel the ambiguity either. If you want more frequent updates on the status go to themysticsaga.wordpress.com and follow our blog.

What else? Well, we're working on getting the blog integrated into the site the way we want it to function and adding detail to pages, mostly regarding the background of the comic and details about characters and their environment.

Look! Up in

the sky...it's a...

...well, maybe it was just a plane. Ok, so if you've stumbled across the site you'll no doubt find it a little less than super, but I'm counting on a sound lack of publicity to keep things on the down low until we're ready for a "proper" launch. As much as I dislike having sites that are in construction, doing it this way does make sense for us until we've got it completed.

And since you're here, why not check out the forum? As Ashliegh Brilliant once said: Appreciate me now, avoid the rush. No point in waiting until we're busy millionaires to say hello.

So what's this site going to be? We're launching a webcomic called "The Mystics" and it won't be your standard comic. We're trying to target our launch around the beginning of the year, but if we need to take a little longer then so be it. Keep an eye on "The Characters" section for updates as I suspect that's where we'll first be releasing drawings and information on the individuals in the comic.

Nothing works on the site? Yes, I'm aware that not a whole lot works. Rest assured that we're working on it and are eager to have everything running more than anyone.

And if you're looking for more, check out our WordPress blog at themysticsaga.wordpress.com. I suspect we'll be updating things more frequently there for the time being.
